Niramaya Yoga
Niramaya is a non-profit organization that was established in 2019 with the goal of helping people understand the benefits of maintaining sound mental and physical health through yoga and clean living. The organization is based in Silchar, a city in the Indian state of Assam, and has two branches: Niramaya Trust and Niramaya School of Yoga.
The organization’s name, “Niramaya,” was coined by Dr. Ajit Bhattacharya, an eminent doctor from Barak Valley. The name means “free from illness” in Sanskrit and represents the organization’s aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle through yoga and other practices.
The inspiration behind the establishment of Niramaya came from Dr. Dibya Sundar Das, a yoga guru from West Bengal, Radhesh Chandra Chakraborty, the founder of the Katirail Yoga Center in Assam, and Nilotpol Choudhury, the Executive Director of Dainik Jugsankha Patrika. These yoga gurus recognized the need for more people to understand the benefits of yoga and healthy living.
Niramaya Trust is focused on spreading awareness about yoga and its benefits among the masses. The Trust conducts various programs, workshops, and seminars across Silchar and its neighbouring towns to promote healthy living through yoga. The organization also runs campaigns encouraging people to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle.
Niramaya School of Yoga, on the other hand, offers training and certification programs in yoga. The school has a team of experienced yoga teachers committed to providing quality education and training in yoga. The courses offered by the school are designed to cater to people of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
