Meditation Experience By Abha Bajaj
Following is the Meditation experience from one of our student.
“I am currently at Parmanand Yoga Institue for Science and Research,Indore Madhya Pradesh,India, for my 300hours Yoga teacher’s training course as well as Yoga Therapy Course. It’s a residential course and quite packed with activities spread throughout the day. The day normally begins at 5.30 am and stretches until 8.45 pm in the evening.
Each component of the course is taught by very knowledgeable teachers and have years of experience backing them, be it yoga therapy, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, yoga asanas or meditation. I feel blessed to be able to learn under such Masters. Each of we participants from different countries are experiencing depths of learning.
This post is specifically to describe the amazing and out of the world experiences that I am getting during each and every meditation practice. Our teacher, Guru Omanand ji guides us into meditating on various Chakras in the body. He tells us that when we meditate with 100%devotion and trust and keep our Ego aside we get to connect with the Supreme Consciousness.
Yesterday, I had two such experiences in one day. In the morning, we performed Jal Neti and after that we lay in Savasana. Guruji asked us to tighten our body as we held our breath and then relax as we exhaled. After that we focused on our Third Eye Chakra…and focused and focused and focused……suddenly I felt that my palms have become lighter and they are being lifted from the floor….then that lightness traveled towards my chest and slowly towards my head….there were vibrations all over and a feeling of pure joy and happiness……
Later when we came back from our meditation all world, Guruji told us that it’s not uncommon for yogis to experience this and this is a sign of chakra awakening. I was thrill at my experience.
Later in the evening after the Bhakti Yoga Session Guruji led us into another session of pure bliss…..this time again he asked us to focus on our Third Eye Chakra.inhalations were longer and we applied Mula Bandha. Within few breaths I realized that my body has started swaying back and forth….I stopped for a while to check if I could sit still but it was beyond my control…..it went on for some 45minutes but for me it felt like 5 minutes only. We were being guided to come back to our physical body, but none of us felt like coming back….I was feeling extremely happy and felt like singing and dancing…..it was bliss ….pure bliss
Until my next post…..stay in bliss…..”
